NORTHAMPTON REGIONAL EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES, INC. is totally committed to the operation of all aspects of its business in a manner that it reflects its dedication to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct. This statement shall always serve each employee as the fundamental, philosophical foundation for any activity related to the Squad. Each employee stands as a representative of the Squad in every contact with the public. Therefore, it is imperative that all employees adhere to the below listed standards of personal and business conduct:

Each employee is expected to avoid engagement in outside work or business that may have effects on their job performance or with a competitor that harms the operations or business of the Squad.

Each employee is responsible for safeguarding company assets and revenues. This includes protection against: (1) Theft or misuse of physical assets; (2) Granting of credits and monetary adjustments outside of Squad policy; (3) Unauthorized disclosure of proprietary information; (4) Diverting potential profitable transactions away from the Squad. Squad assets are never to be used for personal gain.

All employees are expected to provide auditors, government agencies, Squad management and authorized individuals with accurate, timely information upon proper request.

The supervisor then carries the responsibility to advise management of the breach of Code. If it is inappropriate for the employee to inform their immediate supervisor, then any violation must be brought to the attention of the appropriate officer next in the chain of Command above the supervisor or the Executive Board.

No employee shall receive any form of reprisal for reporting any questionable practice or transaction. Whenever possible, the Squad will keep any such communications by any employee confidential.
