Wheel Chair Service

During 1998, we started operating a 1998 Ford van, modified by Braun.  The purpose of this vehicle is to transport patients who cannot go by private vehicle, but do not need ambulance services.  This vehicle can carry 3 wheel chairs, or 2 wheel chairs & 2 passengers on bench seats.

Most patients are using this service for transportation home from hospital stays, trips for dialysis, and for doctors visits.  However, the wheelchair van service IS NOT a replacement for emergency ambulance care, and those patients who cannot tolerate a ride in a sitting position must be transported via stretcher, either in this vehicle or by ambulance, subject to instructions from their physician.  The wheelchair van service generally is not reimbursed by insurance carriers, so patients are responsible for the modest charge for service.

Our rate schedule is available by contacting our business office at 610-262-0800 or by email at nrems@usa.net
